Design
For this exhibit, I turned an image into a painting style using Photoshop and included the line of text "Paint with Clarity" across the middle to make the overall design painting-related.
Contrast: I made most of the image in a painting style using the Art History tool in Photoshop and left the woman's face clearer to contrast it with the rest of the image. I also made the text beveled and put an outer glow around it to make it stand out from the image.
Repetition: I chose a paintbrush image that had similar colors to the image of the woman and her horse (brown, some grey, and tan). I also matched the black of the text and the whitish glow around it with the white, grey and black parts of the horse and the white of the woman's dress. I also laid a "Render Clouds" filter over the top of the image to spread the greens and tans (matching the background and woman's skin colors) texture across the design.
Alignment: I made the focal points (the woman's face and the text) center-aligned, but I placed the text a little off to the side following the flow of the woman's hair and the horse's tail. I also placed the paintbrush on top of the woman's forehead as a way of leading the eye to her face from the left, and then the text would lead them further to the right, following the flow of the woman's hair and the horse's tail.
Proximity: I placed the text just underneath the woman's face the paintbrush just above it (on her forehead) to demonstrate the meaning of "Paint with Clarity." Everything else was turned into a painting style to retract attention from it compared to the focal points.
Font Choice: I chose the Freestyle Script Regular font for the text.

Photoshop
First, I found this image of a woman with a white horse on Pixabay and I opened it up in Photoshop. I then used the Art History brush tool to make the image appear more paint-like except for the face, which I left clear. Next, I found an image of a paintbrush and flowers on Pixabay and used the Quick Selection tool in Photoshop to isolate the paintbrush from the rest of the picture. Then, I placed the paintbrush in my image of the woman and the horse so that the brush is touching her forehead. I added some tan paint on the tip of the brush to match the woman's forehead. To make the paintbrush blend in with the rest of the image, I used a few Curve Adjustment tools and a Hue/Saturation Adjustment tool. Next, I added the text in the center (aligned a little off to the right side) and included a bevel and an outer glow around it. Lastly, I placed a green and pink "Render Clouds" filter over the top of the image.
