Design
I designed this cover for my music album that I had released In September 2023.
Contrast: I made the background image lighter than the black silhouettes in the foreground to make them stand out. It did a similar thing with the text–I made it white against the darker part of the image near the bottom and the two silhouettes.
Repetition: I added a glow around the two black silhouettes that's the same color as the image color (light orange). I also aligned the silhouettes with the words "Past" and "Present" along the bottom to match the concepts.
Alignment: I placed the two silhouettes on the bridge to match the tall trees in the background but also towards the center so that they stand out more.
Proximity: I placed the silhouettes near the text since they are meant to be the foreground elements of the image. I also made the text span the width of the bridge to connect the two elements.
Font Choice: Main font: Matura MT Script Capitals. This was to match the fantasy theme of the cover. I chose the color white to contrast with the black silhouettes.
